July 2026 Ranking Austria
Austria's five-month lock finally breaks, and it breaks from the inside. Selina Hehl climbs to #2 with the highest engagement rate on the board. Leila Gharani falls to #5. And Mike Leber now sits 1.3 points clear of everyone behind him.

The lock broke from the inside. No newcomer forced the top three apart. Selina Hehl was already in the room, holding #4 since April while everyone waited for the podium to age. In July the ordering finally caught up with her numbers.
Above her, Mike Leber holds #1 with a whoranks Score of 8.3. Behind him the entire field sits at 7.0 or lower. That 1.3 point gap is the widest first-to-second margin Austria has produced since launch.

Only one name changed hands. Florian Gschwandtner, Runtastic founder and Tractive co-founder, returns at #10 after dropping out in May. June's edition noted his "Quiet" activity had finally caught up with him. In July he posts Steady, 406 average reactions and a 0.79% engagement rate on 54,920 followers. He fixed the one thing that pushed him out.
Ingrid Gerstbach exits after three straight months at #10. She held the last seat since April without ever climbing off it, and the queue behind her eventually collected the difference.
Biggest Movers of the Month
Selina Hehl is the story of the month and arguably of the year. Up two to #2, her highest placement since the ranking launched. 5.90% engagement, the best in the Top 10 by a distance. 1,987 average reactions, second only to Mike Leber, on roughly one seventh of his audience. 341 average comments, also second only to Leber. Her following crossed 40,000 this month, up from 36,485 in June.

Leila Gharani falls from #3 to #5, her first move in five months. 171,265 followers, 337 average reactions, a 0.22% engagement rate. The audience is intact. The conversation around it thinned.
Annette Mann climbs from #8 to #6, her second consecutive month moving up. Austrian Airlines' CEO now posts a whoranks Score of 6.7 on Steady activity, and her March-out, May-back, June-up, July-up sequence makes her the quietest sustained riser on the board.
Peter Bosek slides from #6 to #8 with a 2.84% engagement rate that would lead most months. Sebastian Kurz ticks up to #4 in his second month, holding the seat his name bought him in June.
The Core Insight
Five months of frozen podium taught everyone to read the top of the Austrian ranking as settled. July corrects that. The whoranks Score doesn't grant tenure. It re-runs the math every month, and this month the math finally favoured the profile that had been outperforming its position since spring.
Look at how thin the field behind Leber has become. Hehl and Janashia tie at 7.0. Kurz and Gharani at 6.9. Mann and Hörndler at 6.7. Bosek and Grossi at 6.6. Gschwandtner at 6.4. Nine names inside six tenths of a point, sorted into an order that could invert on one strong week.
And then Leber at 8.3, alone. 7,342 average reactions, 585 average comments, 2.74% engagement on 292,449 followers. The only person in Austria currently competing against nobody.
The podium was never frozen. It was just waiting for someone to earn the change.
