May 2026 Ranking Austria
The May rankings for Austria extend the locked podium to a locked top four. Selina Hehl holds #4 for a second straight month. Below the lock, four names finish tied at exactly 6.5, and a CEO with 13,000 followers walks into the Top 10 with a 9.69% engagement rate.

April's frozen podium just grew a fourth tile. Mike Leber, Nana Janashia and Leila Gharani stay locked at #1, #2 and #3 for a fourth consecutive month. Selina Hehl now holds #4 for a second. The country's leaderboard is starting to feel stratified. The top is decided. The middle is a queue.
And then there's the entrance. A 13,000-follower Entrepreneur joining the Top 10 at #8 with the highest engagement rate any Austrian ranking has ever produced.

Newly entering the Top 10 this month is Michael Hurnaus, Founder of Tractive, the Vienna-based pet GPS company. His numbers are the most lopsided in the ranking. 13,259 followers, the smallest in the Top 10. 1,081 average reactions. 195 average comments. A 9.69% engagement rate. The highest any Austrian Top 10 has posted in any month we've published.
Annette Mann returns at #9 after dropping out in April. She was March's biggest climber, April's biggest disappearance and now May's quiet reinstatement. The Score corrects in both directions.
At the same time, Florian Gschwandtner and Johann 'Hansi' Hansmann exit the Top 10. Gschwandtner had been hovering at the edge for months, his "Quiet" activity finally catching up with him. Hansmann's April debut was always reach-light and engagement-heavy. One thin month was enough to drop him out.
Biggest Movers of the Month
Michael Hurnaus is the entrance of the month and the year so far. Tractive's founder writes about building and selling a profitable software business from Austria, and at 13,259 followers he's posting comment counts that rival the Top 5. His 9.69% engagement rate is roughly twice Selina Hehl's, on a fifth of her audience. The Score weighs what your audience does with your content above how many of them there are. Hurnaus is the cleanest illustration of that we've published.
Markus Hörndler climbs from #7 to #5, his second consecutive month moving up. Thriving activity, 475 average reactions, a 0.72% engagement rate. The kind of steady rise the Score rewards quietly.
Selina Hehl holds #4 for a second straight month. Her 4.96% engagement rate is the second-highest in the Top 10, behind only Hurnaus. After her down-five, up-five run earlier this year, two months at the same number is the closest she's come to actual stability.
Peter Bosek slips from #5 to #6. Same Score as last month at 6.5. The others caught up.
The Core Insight
Austria's Top 3 has held for four consecutive months. With Selina Hehl now anchoring #4 for two, half the podium feels semi-permanent. The country's leaderboard is starting to look like a tennis tournament where the seeds keep advancing.
Below them, the middle has compressed into a single decimal. Hörndler, Bosek, Grossi, Hurnaus and Mann all sit between 6.5 and 6.6. One thriving month, one good engagement spike, and any of them can rearrange the order next month.
And then a Entrepreneur with 13,000 followers walks into the Top 10 at #8 with a near 10% engagement rate. That's the Score working as designed.
