September 2026 Ranking Austria
Austria's September top five is identical to April's, seat for seat. Nana Janashia retakes #2 on a 0.17% engagement rate, Peter Bosek leads the country at 4.25% from the smallest audience in the Top 10, and both of August's first-timers are gone.

Line up Austria's September Top 5 against April's and you get the same five names in the same five seats. Mike Leber, Nana Janashia, Leila Gharani, Selina Hehl, Peter Bosek. July's edition reported that the five-month lock had finally broken. August reshuffled the podium again. September put every one of those seats back where it was in April.

The podium now sorts strictly by audience size. Leber at 309,314 followers, Janashia at 271,441, Gharani at 175,374. In August, #2 and #3 ran against that order, and this month Janashia moved back above Gharani on a Score of 7.2 against 7.1.
Below the podium the board is packed tight. Gharani sits 0.3 points above Hehl at #4, and the entire lower block from Hehl to Markus Hörndler at #10 covers the same 0.3 points, 6.8 down to 6.5. Three names share 6.7 at #6, #7 and #8.

#10 | Franz Schellhorn | Markus Hörndler (↓ from #8) |
Last month's post said everything under the podium was still up for grabs, and pointed at Tristan Horx and Franz Schellhorn as the proof. Both entered on engagement from two of the smallest audiences on the board. Both are gone after one month.
Annette Mann takes one of those seats back. The Austrian Airlines CEO climbed from #9 to #8 to #6 between May and July, dropped out in August, and returns at #7 with a line that almost matches her July one. 64,882 followers against 64,224, 430 average reactions against 444, 0.69% engagement against 0.74%, and the same Score of 6.7.
Eric Demuth enters at #8 in his first appearance in any whoranks Top 10. The Bitpanda founder brings 52,059 followers, 476 average reactions and a 0.93% engagement rate on Quiet activity. His 8 average comments are the lowest count in the Austrian Top 10.
Biggest Movers of the Month
Peter Bosek moves from #6 to #5 and now leads Austria on engagement. 4.25% on 29,521 followers, the smallest audience in the Top 10. His 1,196 average reactions are the second highest count in the country, behind only Leber, from less than a tenth of Leber's audience. In July the Erste Group CEO sat at #8 with 2.84%.
Nana Janashia climbs back from #3 to #2 on Quiet activity. 424 average reactions, 25 average comments, 0.17% engagement. That is still the lowest engagement rate in the Top 10, although it nearly doubled from August's 0.09%.
Selina Hehl holds #4, the seat she held from April through June. Her numbers came down from a strong August. Engagement fell from 5.22% to 3.04%, average comments from 365 to 241 and average reactions from 1,827 to 1,072. She still has the second highest comment count in the country, and she added 1,733 followers to reach 45,003. The approach behind that growth is in her guest post on the psychology of building an audience.
Mike Leber holds #1 on a recovered month. Average reactions rose from 2,648 to 4,565 and engagement from 1.09% to 1.77%, while his Score stayed at 8.1. He added 12,193 followers and leads #2 by 0.9 points.
Sebastian Kurz slips again, #4 in July, #7 in August, #9 now. His Score held at 6.5, with 250 average reactions and 0.31% engagement on 84,522 followers, the largest audience outside the podium.
The Core Insight
The Score has now produced the same top five twice, five months apart, with two disrupted months in between. Neither disruption held. Hehl's #2 lasted one month, Gharani's #2 lasted one month, and every name that passed through those seats is back in its April position.
The engagement profiles kept their place one level down. Bosek holds #5 on 4.25% and Hehl holds #4 on 3.04%, the two highest engagement rates in Austria, directly under a podium where two of the three names sit below 0.3%.
Further down, the margins are thin enough that improving guarantees nothing. Rafael Mariano Grossi raised his Score from 6.6 to 6.7 and still dropped from #5 to #6. Horx and Schellhorn showed in August that a small account can break in on engagement. September showed how little room there is to stay once you are in.
The top five remembers April. The bottom five starts over every month.
