October 2026 Ranking Austria
Mike Leber holds #1 in Austria for the ninth month in a row, now 1.2 points clear. The top five are exactly the five names that have appeared in every Austrian Top 10 since February, and Peter Bosek, the sixth, is out.

Austria's October top five is made up of the only five people who have been in every Austrian Top 10 since the ranking launched in February. Mike Leber, Leila Gharani, Nana Janashia, Selina Hehl and Markus Hörndler. Until last month there was a sixth name on that list. Peter Bosek led Austria on engagement in September and is now out of the Top 10.

Last month we wrote that the top five remembers April. In October it held four of April's five names, and the fifth seat went to Hörndler, who jumped from #10 to #5. Bosek, who held that seat in April and again in September, dropped out entirely.
Below the top five the board turned over again. Five of the ten seats changed hands, three of the new names are in the Austrian Top 10 for the first time, and seats #6 to #10 sit within two tenths of each other. The step from #5 at 6.7 to #6 at 6.4 is the largest on the board below #1.

Biggest Movers of the Month
Mike Leber holds #1 for the ninth month out of nine. His Score stays at 8.1, and the gap to #2 grew from nine tenths in September to 1.2 points. He added 10,282 followers to reach 319,596 and averages 4,324 reactions and 277 comments at 1.62% engagement on Thriving activity.
Leila Gharani, Nana Janashia and Selina Hehl share a Score of 6.9 at #2, #3 and #4. Gharani and Janashia swap places for the third month in a row. Hehl still has the most comments in the Top 10 at 221, but her engagement rate has now come down for three months in a row, from 5.90% in July to 5.22%, 3.04% and 2.64%. Part of that is arithmetic, because her audience grew from 40,795 to 48,282 over the same months.
Markus Hörndler (#10 → #5) climbs five places on Thriving activity, 70,796 followers and 0.84% engagement. His path since February reads #6, #7, #7, #5, #7, #7, #8, #10, #5. He has never been on the podium, and he has never missed a month either.
The Core Insight
The whoranks Score looks at the last month only. Nothing from February carries into October, so the five names at the top earned their seats again this month, for the ninth time in a row. Showing up with a strong month, every month, turns into the most stable position in the ranking.
Bosek shows how thin that line is. He was in all eight Top 10s from February to September, led the country on engagement at 4.25% a month ago, and is outside the Top 10 in October. Keinrath shows the other direction. A first month with a 5.66% engagement rate gets him to #6 straight away, three tenths below the constants.
Nine months in, five names have never missed. The other five seats are still open every month.
